Hi there!

I hope you are all doing wonderful on this Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Thanksgiving. After a long time, I have news to share about how this site is going to work. First of all, thanks for all your support so far! We've grown in numbers of paid and free members. This site would not be where it is right now without your support.

Higher frequency of posts

The first change that I will be doing if how often I post here. I started more consistent, but I slowed down since finding interesting projects to open source is not that easy. Of course, the whole intent of this blog is to teach you how to self-host, but I also care about freedom and privacy. From now on, you might see different types of posts. I hope you enjoy them as well.

No more paid posts

It's easier to spread ideas when they are more accessible. Of course, getting some revenue would be great, but I don't think it's a good idea to limit the visibility of some posts for now. All the previously paid posts will now be free to be read. For now, paying a member subscription is only to support us.

No more self-hosted pieces of software by us

It's better to teach you how to have privacy instead of providing the projects self-hosted by us. It not only increase costs, but the services were barely used in this last year. They won't be continued anymore for now. This should also allow more spare time to write posts.

That is it for now. I hope you have a wonderful end of the year, and I wish a wonderful 2025 for all of us.
